Since 1953 I have regulary visit Dubrovnik. I have lived in many different rooms, appartments and even in hotels. In year 2000, we got an address by the travellagency,
but in the last minute they changed the address to Resticeva 2 and we lived in one month by Dabrovic-family. This room is located close to everything: the Marketsquare, the Cathedral, Rektorspalace and Stradun. From the windows in Resticeva
you can watch when the town wakes up untill it goes to sleep.
Today we are happy, that our travellagency changes the address and we became guests
by the Dabrovic-family,the friendly and very hospitally hosts. We have really enjoyd our
visits.

Amoret Apartments Dubrovnik I am writing to record both my praise for the Amoret Apartments and my thanks for all the help and assistance Branka and Ivica (John) Dabrovic gave us when we were in Dubrovnik recently.
Amoret Apartments: We stayed in many places on our recent trip through England, Italy and Croatia but none better than the Amoret apartments run by Branka and John Dabrovic in Dubrovnik. The apartments are centrally located in the Old City and are very reasonably priced with all of the facilities you need for either a short or extended stay. For the budget minded who like to cook and eat at home they are very close to the wonderful morning market and to a very well stocked general store. The best bread and pastry shop we saw anywhere is also near by. The Old City has been beautifully restored since the war and if you stay inside the walls you can avoid the daily crush of tourists arriving by cruise liner and bus. You can also do the Wall Walk before the crowds arrive or after they leave and have the added advantage of being able to attend the wonderful nightly concerts on offer in the Old City. The Amoret apartments were perfect for our needs and I cannot recommend them highly enough. But be warned, you must book early as they are in high demand.
Branka and John:There is another advantage to staying at the Amoret Apartments – you get to meet the fabulous Branka, a 5th generation Dubrovnikite and her husband, former national water polo player, John. During our visit my wife had to spend some time in hospital. It was a worrying time for both of us and Branka and John could not have been more helpful. They put us in touch with a local doctor when we arrived, drove me to the hospital to talk to the doctor taking care of my wife and then acted as a friendly bridge between me and the hospital for the duration of her stay. They even found additional accommodation for us when our Amoret booking came to an end. Instead of apartment owner/managers they acted like family. Time and again we thanked our lucky stars that we were staying with them and not at some impersonal hotel and I am pleased to take this opportunity to thank them publicly for all that they did for us.

Thank you for all your assistance while we were visiting your beautiful city. Our taxi met us at the agreed time and place and we made all our flight connections. Even though it was raining as we left our apartment at 4:15 am, it was a wonderful feeling to have the streets of Dubrovnik to ourselves (almost!)--the illuminated towers and walls glistened.

Dubrovnik is clearly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe--one
not to miss! For years, during the summer months, my wife and
I have had the pleasure of renting the Amoret apartment in the
Old Town. It is conveniently located steps away from historic
sites, the entrance to the city walls, the street of Stradun where
all of the action is and many wonderful nearby restaurants. The
apartment is ideal for short or extended stays, it is clean, attractively
decorated, and has refreshing air conditioning (a summertime treat!).

Six years ago while looking for an apartment for a two-weeks vacation
in Dubrovnik friends recommended to me "Apartments Amoret"
owned by family Dabrovic and I rented one for two weeks. I was
so pleased with accommodation that since then I became a regular
guest every summer and for my wife and myself it became a synonym
of pleasant summer holyday and real vacation.
Since I live abroad for a while (in Israel), the summer vacation
is very important to me and the hospitality of Dabrovic family
fulfills all my needs and wishes. I think that the best illustration
of such an opinion is the fact that we started with two weeks
vacation and now we are each summer guests in "Amoret"
for three weeks. The most important is that aside of very comfortable
accommodation we have the treatment more as members of the family
than as anonymous guests, and we have noticed the same with other
guests who are, like us, mainly regulars every year. For our hosts
nothing is a problem ? to receive guests on the airport or take
them to the airport, to help with the luggage, to provide all
the necessary informations or to be at hand in case of any need.
So my wife and I are really recommending the hospitality of family
Dabrovic in "Apartments Amoret" to everybody who intends
to spend his vacation in Dubrovnik.
